Group Fitness - Get Gritty

Cardio Strength Circuits. Designed to help you do more of what you love!

Get Gritty Class is currently held in the Decal Gymnastics building on Kennedy Memorial Drive in Oakland @5:30pm.


This is a class lasting 45 minutes, incorporating common strength training movements in a time-based circuit. It's a fantastic way to get some strength training and cardio training at the same time.

These sessions are perfects for anyone who is tight and tired from sitting more than we want to. Every exercise can be modified for a variety of fitness levels. We have folks from their 20’s to their 70’s join us!


Because health and fitness is more than what your body looks like on the outside. It's about constantly improving what your body is capable of doing when you ask it to move with purpose.

The Coach: Tony Solis

ACE Certified Personal Trainer & Nutrition Specialist

How we doin' friends?! If you're checking out my site trying to learn more about me, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Antonio Solis, but you like most of my friends can call me Tony. What follows is a brief summary of my journey as a Health Professional.

I've been a Certified Personal Trainer since I was 19 years old. I had the incredible privilege in the early 2000's to learn from some truly amazing people at the University of  Maine at Farmington Health & Fitness Center (Now called the Fitness & Recreation Center). 

From day one I could tell that Health & Fitness was a passion of mine, so I soaked up every drop of knowledge I could. I studied Strength, Muscle Building, Fat Loss, Athletic Performance, Healthy Aging, and a ton of Nutritional information. 

After University, I worked in a Wellness Consulting company primarily with construction workers and their spouses. I had an immediate opportunity to apply all the information I had learned in school, while also picking up skills of Health Coaching along the way. 

Afterwards, I returned to my passion of Fitness as a Trainer for a Wellness Program that was focused on combining Nutrition, Fitness, and Mindfulness practices to help employees better learn to manage their health for the long term. I must say that this program also helped me to learn to better manage my health and wellness beyond simply eating right and exercising. I discovered much about the challenges that exist in our daily lives from the folks I worked with, as well as through experimentation on myself. 

More recently, I have focused on solidifying my philosophies around Health and Wellness. Specifically how Fitness, Nutrition, and Stress Management must work together to help us experience a state of THRIVING, vs SURVIVING. 

Through both Fitness Classes and Personalized Training I hope that we can work together to get healthy, well, and learn to THRIVE in our Lives.
